Ingredients

Spices:

  • 12 tsp garlic and ginger paste,
  • 12 tsp paprika
  • 12 tsp white pepper
  • 12 tspcurry powder
  • 12 tsp cayenne pepper turmeric

Veggies:

  • 1 red/green bell pepper
  • celery
  • 1 cup of sweet corns
  • 3 carrots
  • peas, and green beans
  • I medium onions

Oil

Rice

Salt

Water


Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the veggies
  2. Heat the oil in a pot
  3. Add garlic and ginger paste and onions to the oil, and stir

well.

  1. Stir in the spices and add some water to the pot. (The water should be enough t get the rice done).
  1. Add turmeric to the pot for the yellow color.
  2. Pour the rice into the pot and stir a little bit. Add the veggies. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  1. Cover the food and cook for twenty minutes.
  2. The food is ready.

Notes

• Other long-grained rice varieties may be substituted for the arborio. Converted rice is not recommended. This recipe will not work at all with instant rice, so don’t be tempted to try. You will end up with mush.

• Strong chicken broth is recommended to punch up the flavor of the rice and complement the turmeric.
