- When the tikki is nearly finished, put a slice of cheese on top of it. Let the cheese melt slightly over the hot patty.
- Get you buns then proceed into smearing the bottom half with mayonnaise and ketchup. Put one lettuce leaf above the sauce and place the patty above the leaf.
- Top it off tomato and onion rings.
- Close the burger with the top half of the bun and serve.

Alternative method for preparing the Aloo Tikki Burger
- Absolutely, I’d be thrilled to share an alternative method for preparing the Aloo Tikki Burger. This time, let’s switch things up a bit and use an air fryer. The air fryer is a fantastic kitchen appliance that uses hot air circulation to cook food, resulting in a crispy exterior while keeping the inside soft, just perfect for our Aloo Tikki.
- First, you’ll need to prepare your Aloo Tikki as usual. Mix boiled potatoes with spices, shape them into patties, and then it’s time for the air fryer magic. Preheat your air fryer at 180°C (or 360°F) for about 5 minutes. Lightly brush each patty with oil – this will give your Aloo Tikki that beautiful golden color and extra crispiness.
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook them at 180°C (or 360°F) for 10-12 minutes. Halfway through, take a moment to flip the patties to ensure even cooking. Once they’re beautifully golden brown, remove them from the air fryer.
- Now, let’s assemble our Aloo Tikki Burger. Take a bun, spread some mint chutney or any sauce of your choice on the lower half, place lettuce leaves, followed by the crispy Aloo Tikki, slices of onion, tomato, and finally, cover with the top half of the bun. And there you have it, a delicious Aloo Tikki Burger made healthier and crispier with the help of an air fryer!
- Remember, the joy of cooking lies in experimentation. So don’t hesitate to try new methods and appliances. Happy cooking!
