  • In a large bowl, whisk together the mirin, sesame oil, garlic cloves, ginger, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Add the chicken to the bowl and toss to coat.
  • Transfer the chicken and sauce to the slow cooker, cover with the lid, and cook for 5 hours on low.
  • Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and shred with a fork. Return the shredded chicken to the sauce in the slow cooker and keep warm until ready to serve.
  • Serve hot over rice or inside lettuce wraps.
