Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can black beans drained, liquid reserved (or use Basic Black Beans)
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped, or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • tablespoons tahini
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin optional
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika plus more for garnish
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 10 sliced Kalamata olives for garnish

Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine all the ingredients except the olives. Pulse and then scrape down the sides of the processor. Pulse again, then spoon into a serving bowl. Garnish with paprika and olives.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container for up to 3 days.
