Making homemade pear sauce is easy and quick, and you can make it as much as you like. This healthy snack is also Paleo, Whole30, and SCD friendly. It is also vegan, gluten-free, and grain-free. Simply blend all the ingredients until smooth and serve! This can be kept in the refrigerator for 5 days, or frozen for 3 months. Here are some tips for making pear sauce: o Blend the pears until they fall apart, then store in the refrigerator or freezer.
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours, until soft.
Purée in batches in a food processor or blender. You can also use an immersion blender right in the slow cooker. If using a blender, open the center of the lid to prevent steam buildup, and cover the opening with a towel while blending (hot liquid may splatter if you don’t!).
Store sauce in a sealed container in the refrigerator for a week, or freeze up to 3 months. Thaw in refrigerator overnight if frozen.

TIP: Try offering this sweet sauce alongside tart plain yogurt. This recipe is also great for use in baking, like in our Autumn-Spiced Apple Donuts.
